DONATIONS BUY SUPPORT

We purchase memberships at local gyms to help get vets back into daily physical training (PT) and match them with a Brother, also a qualified veteran, through our mentorship program. When you are in the armed forces every minute of every hour of every day is scheduled and accounted for. This is part of what makes transitioning back into civilian life so difficult. Daily routines help to ease the re-assimilation process.

Ultimately our goal is to build gyms across the country designed specifically for vets and their special needs. If you are a Veteran with a need for rehabilitation—whether you have prosthetics or any other physical challenges--please call us to set up a free evaluation at one of the local gyms.

DONATIONS BUY SKILLS

Once the vets have been cleared through PTSD counseling, we will invite them to take part in our apprenticeship programs, such as our construction training. The vets will have the chance to be trained in all aspects of carpentry, framing, siding, roofing, electrical, and plumbing, to name a few. This way each Brother will have a valuable skill that he can use with us or take with him out into the world.

We also partner with other companies who supply other apprenticeship opportunities. That way vets can learn a number of different trades and skills through which they can grow and flourish.

DONATIONS BUILD TINY HOUSES

300,000 American veterans are homeless! Others sleep in overcrowded and unsecured shelters every night where drug dealers infiltrate to feed the vets’ addiction to opioids and steal their belongings. Fights are also a regular occurrence due to PTSD, so some vets would rather take their chances on the street than expose themselves to that kind of risk in a shelter.

We are working on a solution that will consist of 25-30 tiny homes in an area within 30 minutes of a VA center or satellite clinic. Each tiny home is about 400-450 square feet, costs $8000 and houses 1 veteran. That means that we can give 30 vets their own place to live for the same amount that the government would spend to build a shelter.

These tiny homes will be used as communities of transitional housing while the vets attend school, participate in one of our internship programs or holistic fitness classes at our community center, go through drug rehabilitation and receive counseling. All meals and activities will be done as a community developing a sense of comradery reminiscent of time spent with other Brothers on the military base. Our hope is that each Brother will smoothly integrate back into our communities and eventually help build a tiny house for another fellow vet.

VOLUNTEER VETERANS ENCOURAGED

Our mentorship program is the foundation of Brother 4 Brother, B4B. This is why we use trained veterans to be the first point of contact for our returning vets. When you have spilled blood in the same mud, you can relate to each other immediately. There is no stigma or weakness associated with a Brother assisting a fellow vet with PTSD counseling or drug rehabilitation. By reaching out to returning vets before they become entangled in waiting several weeks for an appointment from the overwhelmed VA, fellow Brothers can help prevent drug addictions, night terrors, depression, and feelings of not relating to so-called normal society, keeping them from becoming a 24 PTSD casualty.

We purposely set up a mentorship meeting within a week of each vet’s return and provide a gym membership as soon as possible. If need be, emergency care for PTSD is available 24/7 from Day One. By working side by side with a returning vet, our mentors become members of the Brotherhood. So, if you are a vet, we would love for you to come join us as we work out together, enjoy meals together, and strive together to improve the lives of America’s most valuable resources—its brave veterans! Be the voice that may save a life in the middle of the night.

DUTY  •  HONOR  •  GOD  •  COUNTRY

These are not just words to us but the way we choose to live our lives. We live not only in service to our country but also in our work with fellow vets, helping them to integrate back into our communities. We are part of The Brotherhood.
