Enjoy live music performed by renowned local artists every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Menu specials are offered nightly, including Wednesday nights with original tapas with an international flair. The Happy Hour scene at Hot Tuna is legendary, offered daily from 4-6pm & until 9pm on Wednesdays to complement the popular Tapas night.

"In all the craziness around Christmas we found this to be a perfect gathering place to meet for Happy Hour, dinner, a few drinks and celebrate a 60th birthday! We had made reservations and when arriving, were greeted and seated right away. Full service bar including local craft beers, and a large selection of wine. Appetizers were good, and the Sesame Fired Ahi is to die for!!!!! Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very festive!!! If you are at the beach this is a must!!!! With a crowd, a date night out, or even by yourself!!!"

"My family went to Hot Tuna in March 2016 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were a party of 8. The service was very good. We each ordered something different. I really enjoy seafood, but most of the time I'm not overly impressed. This time I was. The dinner was SO good. Everyone raved about their dishes. We liked the atmosphere and the staff was friendly and attentive, but not pushy... I plan on going back for MY birthday. :)"

Best appetizers around - eggplant meatballs, anything seafood, grilled avocado, really you can't go wrong with whatever Chef Todd and his kitchen are cooking up. "If you are in need of a private party room for your next important occasion, you would be remiss if you didn't contact Brett at Hot Tuna and have him or one of his very competent managers walk you through the excellent menu and drink choices. I selected Ahi Tuna appetizers that were prepared to perfection and my personal favorite. The shrimp cups, barbecue chicken sliders, egg plant skewers, chips and dips were equally excellent and plentiful. The wine and micro brew selection satisfied all in attendance. The friendly wait staff is professional and very attentive. No waiting for drinks here. I don't know how one can go wrong booking this venue. You're made to feel that you are at home and they came to bring you the best experience ever."

"I've lived in Virginia Beach for 10 years now and sad that it took me this long to finally discover this awesome seafood restaurant! A group of my friends decided to venture across town to Hot Tuna on a Wednesday night for their Tapas night. The Tapas menu not only offered great seafood selections but also non-seafood items like the beef filet puff pastry which was delicious and also reasonably priced! They also have live entertainment on Wednesdays which was a DJ and we decided to stay and check out their nightlife. We were not disapointed. This place gets packed and was full of energy. We danced the night away and had a great time! Food, service, and drinks were great!!! We will definitely be back."

"Oh my! Have you ever had a dish that was so good, you didn't want the experience to end? What about a meal that was so layered in flavor and style that you didn't want to wash the residual flavor from your mouth with a cocktail? Yeah....I just had this experience. Mind blowing good. I had the Tuna Tango entree with calamari w/ pepperoncini to start....these are only offered during restaurant week, but was told there are similar dishes called something else. Score! I've eaten before and everything I've had has been fabulous. Gotta get their happy hr...$4 crushes and a variety of other stuff half off. Best happy hr in town!"

The seafood was awesome, appetizers were great and the drinks were fairly priced with the… deals a blast. Seafood is their specialty, but some members of our group had lamb and beef, so don’t be afraid to visit if you are not a seafood lover!"
